As part of the program, Hospitals and Healthcare Systems will have 3rd and 4th year medical students shadowing practicing preceptor MDs in your facilities and practices. Our Clinical Clerkships (also known as Clinical Rotations) comprise of American students who made the choice to pursue their medical education in another country. They have completed their basic sciences in that country and have successfully completed the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) STEP 1 testing . They have now returned to the US to complete their clinical sciences. These individuals possess their own malpractice insurance, have hands on experience, and in many cases, are fluent in another language, most often Spanish.
